Holly Modine’s baskets emanate from her vision that while baskets are an ancient, functional tradition, they are also an art form with sculptural possibilities. She combines reeds and seagrass – some dyed in vibrant colors – with materials gathered from the landscape around her home: branches, vines, antlers, and metal scraps.
